With so many food options, it makes becoming vegan a lot more easier and since being a vegan has become so mainstream, the options are ever growing.

If you’re headed to your local grocery store we have gathered a list of vegan approved foods to look out for during your shopping trip,  some of the items listed as vegan may even surprise you.

Amy’s Burritos

Before becoming vegan I found myself grabbing those frozen bean and cheese burritos to have for a quick lunch. Luckily, my love for frozen bean burritos can be enjoyed with Amy’s Non-Dairy Burritos, which can be found at Walmart and Target in the frozen section. Amy’s also carry other yummy foods that can be found in many grocery stores, such as Amy’s Gluten and Dairy Free Organic Veggie Loaf & Mashed Potatoes and Amy’s Organic Vegan Lentil Soup.

Vegan Meats

I usually go to places like Whole Foods or Kroger to get my Vegan meats. When shopping at Walmart I was surprised to find my favorite Tofurkey Italian sausage, veggie dogs and Gardein meatballs were all sold there too!

Dressings

Take your bland food up a notch by adding a tasty vegan approved dressing. You can add Just Ranch, Kraft Italian or vegan Mayo to your food for a delicious flavor upgrade. All these dressings and more can be found at your local grocer or Walmart. For a full list of vegan approved condiments you can check out PETA’s condiment list.
