As far back as I can remember, skincare has been very important to me, and since my skin has always been very sensitive I have been making my own homemade skin masks using all natural ingredients for years. In the past, it occured to me that many of my breakouts were occuring due to the face wash, moisturizers or other skin care products I was using that were claiming to make my skin better.


The very first all natural food item I ever tried on my skin was raw oats to wash my face with and I noticed the biggest difference in my complexion. Since then, I have been making my own cleansers and masks, using items I have on hand in my fridge and pantry. Apricot Oil & Oatmeal Face Mask: Naturally Cleanses And Treats Dry Skin

Take 2 tablespoons of oats and add enough warm water to make a paste-like texture. Mix in 2-3 drops of apricot oil and mix in well. Apply the mixture to face and allow to sit for 15 minutes. Rinse off with cool or lukewarm water.

Lemon & Yogurt Face Mask: Soothes And Tightens Skin

Mix 2 tablespoons of yogurt (I use dairy-free coconut yogurt) with 1-2 drops of lemon. Apply to face and allow to sit for 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool or lukewarm water.

Green Tea Face Mask: Prevent Aging And Heals Scars

Open and pour out an organic green tea bag into a mixing bowl. Add a tablespoon of honey and begin to mix the two ingredients together, then apply to face in a gentle circular motion. Leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with cool or lukewarm water.

Tomato Face Mask:  Brighten And Lighten Skin

Cut a tomato in half and rub all over face. Allow to sit for 15-20 min. Rinse with cool or lukewarm water.

Turmeric Face Mask: Fight Acne And Glowing Skin

Mix half a teaspoon of turmeric powder and half teaspoon of organic apple cider vinegar into 1 tablespoon of yogurt. Apply to skin and allow to sit for 15-20 min. Rinse with cool or lukewarm water.
