7 Seriously Good Ways To Enjoy Your Coffee Even More

Americans consume 400 million cups of coffee per day — so it’s safe to say that coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the US. I too like coffee, sweet and bursting with flavor! Coffee is great on it’s own, but if you’re wanting to add an extra boost of flavor to your morning cup of joe, than keep scrolling for 7 seriously good ways to enjoy your coffee even more.

Ice Cream

Ice cream inside coffee on a hot summer day? Yes, please! There are many ways you can enjoy a cup of coffee with ice cream and with the many different flavors, you can add mint chocolate chip, vanilla bean or mocha ice cream on top of your coffee for an instant yummy treat. Put one scoop of ice cream into cup, pour hot coffee over it. Serve immediately.

Almond Milk

If you’re tired of the same ole whole milk and cream coffee, there are some tasty alternatives. Almond milk is a great tasting addition to coffee, this dairy-free milk is also low in calories and high in calcium, vitamin E and vitamin D. Add 1/2 cup of almond milk, and 1 tbsp organic sugar mixed into coffee to give it a more sweeter flavor. Optional: add whipped cream on top with sprinkle of cocoa or cinnamon.

Coconut Milk

Give your coffee a little tasty addition by adding in some coconut milk, sweeten it up a bit by adding some whipped cream on top. Turn your coffee into a yummy Thai iced coffee by whipping together in a bowl 1 can coconut milk, 2tbsp maple syrup, ¼ t ground cardamom and ¼ t almond extract. Take ⅓ cup of this mixture and pour into tall glass, add ice and coffee — yum!

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a great addition to add in your coffee, not only does it give your ordinary cup of joe a nice spice taste, but it is also a great immune booster. Add a cinnamon stick to your coffee pot before brewing to have a pot of coffee that is bursting with flavor. Make yourself a health boosting latte by adding 2 tsp. coconut oil, 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/8 tsp vanilla extract and 1/4 cup almond milk into your cup of coffee. Melt down your coconut oil with the almond milk. Add your prepared coffee, cinnamon, extract, and coconut oil mixture into a blender on high for 10 seconds. enjoy!

Chocolate

Chocolate and coffee are two of my favorite things — coffee in chocolate, next level good. There are many different ways chocolate lovers can add in some chocolat-y goodness into a cup of coffee. Want your coffee bursting with chocolate flavors? Add in ½ of a teaspoon of cocoa nibs for every two cups of coffee into your coffee grinder and grind down with your coffee beans. For a delicious way to a chocolate cup of coffee, add in 2 tbsp of your favorite sweetener, along with 2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder and 1 cup milk. Optional: whipped cream on top.

Peppermint

Peppermint is one of my favorite additions to tea and coffee for it’s great taste and the benefits it packs too. A few drops of peppermint oil extract can be added to your coffee pot during the brewing process for a peppermint treat your taste buds will love. Adding crushed mints in your coffee on top of your whipped cream is a great way to satisfy your sweet tooth. Create an easy mint syrup to have in your fridge to add to your coffee whenever the peppermint craving hits. Bring 1 1/2 cups water to low boil, add in 1 1/2 cups sugar and stir until dissolved. Add in 1 bunch fresh mint leaves or 1 teaspoon peppermint extract and allow to steep on low heat for 15 minutes. Remove leaves and store in fridge.

Vanilla Extract

Vanilla extract is a great way to add sweet flavors to your cup of coffee. Mix a few drops of vanilla extract into your favorite milk, and store away for a tasty homemade coffee creamer. Add a few drops of extract to your coffee cup, before pouring in your coffee, sugar and milk of choice for a great tasting drink. Another way of adding in your extract is by drizzling in 1/2 tsp of vanilla over your coffee grounds before brewing. Let your coffee cool down to pour over ice, milk and sugar for an easy iced vanilla coffee.
