Actor Alec Baldwin was arrested earlier today for allegedly assaulting someone in New York by punching them in the face over a parking spot, according to E! News. NYPD reports that the incident took place around 1:30 P.M. EST, and Baldwin remained in custody until the afternoon.
The actor was charged with harassment and assault and was given a desk appearance ticket, said the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information. According to reports, the victim complained of having pain and was taken to a local hospital.
Baldwin is currently well-known for his funny impersonation of Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, a show the President is not a fan of and has been openly expressive about it. According to NBC 4 New York, Trump told reporters “I wish him luck.”
