Ariana Grande is making her way back to the stage! One month after her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller passed away from an apparent drug overdose, the singer has announced she will be performing again soon.
As many know, Grande made the announcement that she was taking a break from the spotlight, following Miller’s death, to morn his loss. The “No Tears Left To Cry” singer had to cancel a few appearances to properly heal and deal with her emotions.
Grande took the sudden death of Miller, who was a good friend to her, very hard. The 25-year-old took to her Instagram, shortly after his passing, where she wrote an emotional letter to the rapper: “i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend,” she wrote along with a video showing a happy Mac.

i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest.
On December 29, Grande is set to perform at The Chelsea in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, making it her very first performance since her ex’s passing. Ariana is more than ready to get back to business, tweeting to fans that she was “antsy” and missed them, before tweeting that “music is the best medicine”.
