Brisol Palin confirmed on Instagram that she will be joining the cast of MTV’s ‘Teen Mom OG’. Bristol was 17 when she became pregnant with her first son, Tripp. The teen mom’s pregnancy in 2008 made headlines, her mother, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, was running for vice president at the time — which turned out to be an unsuccessful run.
Palin, who is now a mother of three confirmed the news on her Instagram saying,”I am excited to join MTV’s ‘Teen Mom OG.’ I look forward to sharing my experiences and hope that I can help others on their journey.”
Bristol will join the original Teen Mom cast, which first aired in 2009, minus Farrah Abraham who settled a $5M lawsuit against MTV’s parent company, Viacom, earlier this year. — According to Variety, Abraham said in her initial complaint that she was “harassed, humiliated, discriminated against, disrespected, ridiculed, degraded and sex shamed” for her decision to appear in pornographic videos. Palin announced in 2015 that she was pregnant with her second child amid a split from her then-fiance Dakota Meyer. The two went on to marry, five months after welcoming their daughter, Atlee Bay in 2016.
Back in February it was rumored that the couple was headed for another split. However, according to Bristol’s social — they seem happy. Maybe the show, which will air sometime in fall, will give more of an insight into their relationship status.
