Christina Aguilera stopped by the Jimmy Kimmel show yesterday, and while there she discussed past and recent feuds. She talked about her past rival, Britney Spears and how she feels that if social media platforms existed back then that their feud would have quickly been “squashed.”
“When I was coming up, it was obvious, you know, that me and Britney were definitely… there was the Britney/Christina rivalry thing. If we had social media then, we would’ve probably done a song together and just squashed it.”
When Kimmel asked the singer if she would consider doing a song with Britney now, she replied, “It’s probably not too late for that.Hey, I’m down. If her reps say OK, you know.” — YES please!
While on the show, Christina also talked about the Nicki Minaj and Cardi B feud, which all went down while Aguilera was performing at the Harper’s Bazaar Celebrates ICONS event.
“I wish I’d seen this juiciness go down. I didn’t know. I’m so that person that’s like, ‘What’s going on? What happened?!’’ she went on to say, “I heard there was a fight that went down. At first, I heard it was [during] ‘Fighter,’ my song ‘Fighter,’ which is so appropriate. I was like, ‘Oh my god, that’s genius!’’
Christina says she wasn’t upset at all that the altercation between the two female emcee’s went down during her performance. However, she was upset she didn’t get to see it all go down.
“I was thinking probably people would think I would be upset that this happened at my show, whatever. I was just like, ‘Oh my god, I’m just sad I didn’t get a front row seat!’ That’s where the real show was,” she joked.
