Twitter users are outraged after a fan, who attended Christina Aguilera’s concert in Florida, shared a picture of the tour merchandise, exposing the differences between the Small-Large size merchandise to the more expensive plus sized items.
Aguilera’s “Liberation Tour” kicked off on September 25 in Hollywood, Florida, which is where the fan took a picture of the merchandise. The photo sparked much anger with Twitter users slamming the singer for charging $5 extra for bigger sizes. “Add $5 for all XXL and XXXL,” reads the sign posted within the merchandise.

“Is Christina really charging extra for XXL and XXXL sized merchandise? Brutal,” one Twitter user wrote. Celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton got in on the drama too, posting video tweet which read, “...a lot of people are pissed at @Xtina for charging plus-sized fans more for merch. I’m one of those upset! Are U?”
Though many seem to be upset over the fact that the bigger sizes cost extra, some users came in to defend the prices by stating more material = more money.
I don’t know why people are getting upset paying a extra $5 for bigger sizes. More material is used so obviously it’s gonna cost more. 🤷🏼♀️

Live Nation, the company handling all of Aguilera’s tour merchandise sales released a statement to Newsweek confirming the prices have been adjusted.
“There was an error in merchandise size pricing at one of the Christina Aguilera shows. Christina and her team were not aware of this and the costs have been adjusted appropriately.”
Christina’s “Liberation Tour” is her first national tour since 2008.
