Demi Lovato’s Twitter account has been deactivated, the “Sorry not Sorry” singer deactivated her account on Super Bowl Sunday after she made a comment about 21 Savage that made many of his fans furious. In case you didn’t know, 21 Savage was arrested and is being detained by ICE officials on accusations of overstaying his VISA. 21 Savage has yet to release an official statement.
Lovato tweeted on Sunday, “So far 21 Savage memes have been my favorite part of the Super Bowl,” and it quickly gained much controversy. After news broke that 21 Savage was in fact British, funny memes began to pour out all over the internet.

Many of the rappers fans couldn’t care less whether he is from UK and are wanting him to remain in the United States. Twitter users were quick to throw fire at Demi after her comment, some even bringing up her past issues with drug abuse. Demi closed her Twitter account and took to Instagram to tell her followers that she was just referring to the memes that were about 21 Savage’s British background and not directed at him as a person.
