John Legend is the new face set to cover the Wall Street Journal’s November issue. During his interview with the publication, he spoke about Kanye West and made it clear that he didn’t have much to say regarding his mental issues. “A lot of people have tried to armchair diagnose, but I leave it to him and his doctors to discuss what’s going on in his brain.”
In the past, John approached Kanye with concerns of how his support toward Donald Trump could be demralizing for those who “though of him as a leader.”
“Clearly, I disagreed with some of the things he was saying, and I was worried that his saying it might empower some of the wrong forces, might be demoralizing for people who looked up to him and thought of him as a leader,” said Legend.

John went on to say: “I understand what Kanye sees in Trump, and I think it’s a reaction to his personality and his marketing panache and don’t-give-a-f—ness. But my point to him was that when you wear that hat when you appear to be endorsing him, you’re endorsing his policies as well, all of his rhetoric and not just the parts you like.”
Reports have said that John and his wife Chrissy Teigan are ready to forgive and move past all the controversy regarding their former close friend Kanye after the rapper stated that he is now distancing himself from politics and has stopped his for Trump.
