Kanye West, one of Donald Trump’s very few celebrity supporters, is set to meet up with the President of the United States of America and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, at the White House on Thursday. The rapper will meet up with President Trump to have lunch and discuss violence in his hometown Chicago, as well as criminal justice reform.
“Kanye West is coming to the White House to have lunch with President Trump and he will also meet with Jared Kushner,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said. “Topics of discussions will include manufacturing resurgence in America, prison reform, how to prevent gang violence, and what can be done to reduce violence in Chicago.”
This news comes shortly after Kanye drew much criticism from many liberals and celebrities for his pro-Trump speech during his appearance on “Saturday Night Live” on September 29. West, who wore a “Make America Great Again” cap gained much praise from Trump for his SNL performance, which never actually got aired.
Kanye has ever been shy to show his support for the President, in the past, the rapper referred to Trump as his “brother” claiming that they both share the same “dragon energy”. West’s wife has also been more involved in politics lately too. The KUWTK star met with Trump and Kushner to discuss prison reform. In July, Alice Marie Johnson, a Tennessee woman serving a life term for nonviolent drug offenses, was set free, after Kardashian West pleaded her case to the President.
