Kevin Durant has sold his beachfront Malibu home for $12.15 million, according to the Los Angeles Times‘ Neal J. Leitereg. The sale comes shortly after Durant’s decision to turn down his $31.5 million player option with the Golden State Warriors, which puts the NBA player as an unrestricted free agent when the window opens Sunday, as reported by ESPN.
“Durant and his business manager Rich Kleiman are in New York, evaluating free agency options,” said ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. “So far, process has stayed private.”
Durant, 30, is expected to miss the 2019-2020 season after rupturing his Achilles in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. According to Wojnarowski, Durant is expected to sign a four-year, $164 million contract with another team or a five-year, $221 million deal with Golden State.
Durant is currently healing in New York.
