Kevin Durant Shows Support For Seattle

Kevin Durant likes the idea of Seattle coming back to the NBA. Durant was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 2007 NBA draft, he was very emotional during the game vs Sacramento scoring 26 points in a win of 122-94.

“When I woke up from my pregame nap I was just nervous,” Durant said after the game. “I’ve never felt that way coming into a game, especially a preseason game. But just knowing this whole thing was kind of set up for that moment, I guess. It was just a crazy feeling to come out and feel that much love from the fan base.”

Durant took to the microphone:

“First off, I want to get a shout out to the Seattle Storm for holding it down and winning a championship,” Durant said. “On behalf of myself, the NBA, our organization, my teammates we want to thank you guys for coming out and supporting us. I know it’s been a rough 10 years. NBA is back in Seattle for tonight. Hopefully it’s back forever soon.”

At age 19 Durant averaged 20.3 ppg, 4.4 Rebounds and 2.4 assists.
