A mother named Georgy Cohen was visiting her child’s kindergarten classroom in which her kid would be attending in the upcoming school year to find a very disturbing nursery rhyme type song hanging on the chalk board.
Hung right next to the alphabet, a song that didn’t look like much to see until you start reading it — the song was a list of things for kindergartner’s to do in case a lockdown were to occur.
This should not be hanging in my soon-to-be-kindergartener’s classroom. pic.twitter.com/mWiJVdddpH

The song is sung in the same tune as “twinkle, twinkle little star,” the lyrics can be read below:
Lock the door.
Shut the lights off.
Say no more.
Go behind the desk and hide.
Wait until it’s safe inside.
It’s all done.
Now it’s time to have some fun!
The song was disturbing to the mom who would be sending her child to school, she took to her Twitter to express her feelings regarding the lyrics hanging in her child’s future classroom, “This should not be hanging in my soon-to-be-kindergartener’s classroom,” she wrote on Twitter.
Disturbing yes, but sadly necessary given that there has been, on average, a school shooting every week this year.
