The Golden State Warriors are expecting their guard Klay Thompson to return in game 4. Thompson injured his left hamstring straining it which was ruled to be mild.
“The whole point was to not risk a bigger injury that would keep him out of the rest of the series. So that was the decision we made, and I feel very comfortable with it,” Kerr told reporter after Game 3. “I never would have forgiven myself if I played him tonight and he had gotten hurt. So you live with the decision you make. You make a wise decision, the wisest one you can, and then you live with it and move forward.”
The coach seems to be ready to let him play in the upcoming game 4.
“We probably won’t practice as a team. It will be a film session and a walk through. So if possible, we’ll get him together with some of our young guys, maybe a few of our coaches and try to get him out on the floor. That would be the next step. He’s got to continue to improve and not have any setbacks. That’s the main thing. So we’ll go from there.”
Thompson is currently averaging 19.5 ppg, 4 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the NBA 2019 playoff.
