Kyrie Irving of the Boston Celtics have decided to not opt into his contract with the Celtics that is worth $21.3 million. Instead he will become a free agent and be able to sign with any team he choices.
Free agency for the NBA will begin officially on June 30, Boston is most likely still a possible option for Irving.
Irving averaged 23.8 points, 6.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds this season of 18-19 and he is still yet to have his best season.
The interest in Irving is high and many teams will inquire about the All-Star guard to see if they can possibly land him and multiple All-Stars on the same team.
