LeBron James admitted to the media that he and the Lakers were late to be aware of the issue’s with China and Houston Rockets GM. “We had zero knowledge of it before we took off,” LeBron James said of the backlash.

So just be careful what we tweet and say and we do, even though, yes, we do have freedom of speech, but there can be a lot of negative that comes with that, too.”
The Lakers spent nearly 14 and a half hours on a plane traveling that had absolutely no WiFi, The NBA has been in contact with China since then and are hopeful to restore their business. Adam Silver defended the Rockets GM and called it “”a freedom of expression.”
