LeBron James is leaving Cleveland for the second time to join the Los Angeles, Lakers.

The 3 time NBA champ announced Sunday that he had reached an agreement to sign a four year, $154 million contract with the Lakers, LeBron will be joining a large list of NBA legends to be a part of the franchises history.

This free agency was completely opposite last time LeBron left in 2010 to Miami, there was no delays in his decision and the announcement was made very early into free agency.

There won’t be a press conference or welcoming celebration The Associated Press reports. The next public comments from LeBron will be made on July 30 when he opens a public school started by his families foundation.

The young Lakers team which is currently being ran by Hall Of Famer Magic Johnson has been unsuccessful with building a new team in recent years. The Lakers now will immediately be a top team in the west with James joining them.

Once the deal was reached Kobe Bryant tweeted LeBron and welcomed him to the Lakers family with “Welcome to the family @KingJames #lakers4life #striveforgreatness @JeanieBuss @MagicJohnson and RP well done!!! 🙌🏾”

This will make LeBron James third team in eight years. Shortly after the announcement was made James share a tribute “Thank you Northeast Ohio for an incredible four seasons,” James wrote. “This will always be home.”

A lot feel the move from the Cavs was motivated by the roster that was put together in Cleveland that did not win 1 game in the NBA finals against the champions Golden State.

LeBron exits Cleveland delivering all 82 games played for the season and carried his team in the playoffs up until losing to the Warriors in the NBA Finals.
