LeBron James recently made an appearance on Uninterrupted and was asked about his achievements and what would be the biggest accomplish regarding individual achievements.
“If I’m on the same court as my son in the NBA,” said LeBron. “That would be number one in my lifetime as an NBA player.
“I thought about it because my son is about to be fourteen, and he might be able to get in there a little early.”
He was also asked if he meant to play on the same team as his son, LeBron quickly responded “Or play against.”
LeBron James Jr is considered a basketball whiz and has received scholarship offers from Kentucky and Duke. If the NBA does go back to it’s original format allowing players to enter the NBA directly from high school, James Jr. who is currently in seventh grade will be able to enter the NBA in five years in the year of 2023-24.
LeBron Sr. would be 38 of this were to happen, it’s extremely possible that the two may end up in the league at the same time.
This wouldn’t be the first time LeBron has mentioned playing against his son. He had a interview with GQ and spoke on the subject “I don’t know if I could play washed, but I damn sure would love to stick around if my oldest son can have an opportunity to play against me. That’d be, that’d be the icing on the cake right there… I’d give him all six fouls. I’d foul the shit out of Bronny, man.”
