After a long battle with Cash Money Lil Wayne is officially the sole owner of Young Money. He recently revealed in a Billboard cover story that he settled with Cash Money for sole ownership of Young Money and a undisclosed amount of money.
Lil Wayne assured fans he did not let the drama get to him. “I didn’t let it get to me too much,” Wayne shared. “Just the confidence in knowing that there’s always a tomorrow and I’m going to make sure that tomorrow is bright. Some people can’t go on [like] that, like, ‘OK, tomorrow will be better.’ They need it to be better right now. And thank God I didn’t, and I never did.”
In 2015 Weezy decided to end his relationship with Cash Money and sued them for $51 million due to lack of compensation for the fifth installment of The Carter series. The New Orleans native told Rolling Stone. “I’m super-numb to it, to tell you the truth,” the rapper said.
