Actor Luke Perry, who is best known for starring in Beverly Hills, 90210, and most recently for his role playing Archie’s dad on Riverdale, has tragically passed away at 52 following a stroke. Perry was hospitalized on Feb 27 after having a stroke and died today, according to TMZ.
Luke Perry became a teen heartthrob after landing the role of Dylan on Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1990. In his most recent role, Luke played the father to Archie on Riverdale, a role he enjoyed. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2017, Perry said, “I like playing the father because I like being one, and I think it is a great character in the milieu of this show that I am the grounded one, and I am the guy who truly cares about [ Archie], who cares about doing a good job and being a good construction worker. I love that.”
Perry had two kids that he shared with his ex wife Rachel Minnie Sharp named Jack, 22, and Sophia, 19.
