Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding was absolutely beautiful down to every small detail — literally! According to People, in a new clip for the upcoming documentary Queen of the World, Meghan reveals that her 16-foot veil had special details stitched in that paid tribute to the Prince.
“Somewhere in here there’s a piece of blue fabric that’s stitched inside — it was my something blue,” Meghan shared. “It’s fabric from the dress that I wore on our first date,” she went on to say as she held the veil in her hand for the first time since her and Harry’s wedding day.
Another detail in the veil that Markle is “over the moon about” is how it paid tribute to the 53 countries in Commonwealth.
“I think the other members of the family had a similar reaction and just appreciation for the fact that we understand how important this is for us and the role that we play, and the work that we’re going to continue to do within the Commonwealth countries,”
Meghan and Prince Harry got married on May, 19, 2018 in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom.
