Travis Scott came under a lot of fire after agreeing to perform at the Superbowl Halftime show, especially from those who are in the black community. Big name artists such as Cardi B, Common, Meek Mill, and even Jay-Z, who reportedly approached the rapper in private to tell him not to have anything to to with the NFL, expressed their disappointment over Scott’s decision to perform after the Colin Kaepernick controversy.
Nick Cannon also had some things to say against Travis, going as far as to say that Travis was in the wrong by having a child with Kylie Jenner. Kylie and Travis share a beautiful daughter together, Stormi Webster, who will be turning one Feb.1. Cannon claims that the “Astroworld” rapper is turning his back on all black people, insinuating that his relationship with Kylie has played a role in that.
Nick spoke with TMZ, saying that Big Boi, who is also set to perform at the Halftime show, earned the right to perform because he is representing his home city of Atlanta. However, according to Cannon, Kylie’s boyfriend doesn’t have the same “cultural equity.”

Nick expressed that he is “team Kaepernick all day,” and saying that Travis doesn’t have the same “culture equality,” in his opinion he needs to walk “more gingerly.” Then the “Wild N Out” star went on to take a direct hit at Kylie Jenner, the mother of Scott’s baby saying, “the person you choose to procreate with,” that wasn’t “for the culture.”
A source told TMZ, that regardless of what people are saying, Scott still plans to perform. “To Travis, the Super Bowl halftime show is an opportunity that not many people get to do. He is performing for him.”
