Petition To Move Halloween Has Gained Over 44,000 Signatures

A petition to move Halloween from the 31st of October to the last Saturday of October has gained over 44,000 signatures. The petition, which was started three months ago on Change.org, says a holiday deserving of a full day shouldn’t be crammed into two rushed hours on a weekday evening.

Parents are signing the petition due to the madness that comes with having Halloween fall on a school and work night. Teachers also support the change because of the negative impact it has on students the following school day.

“I am signing because I am an elementary school teacher. Halloween is massively disruptive to learning when it falls on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Saturday is the perfect day,” wrote one teacher.

Hilary Duff Says Drinking Her Placenta In Smoothie Form Was “Delightful”

Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma welcomed their baby girl, Banks Violet Bair, on October 25th —  since then, we have gotten some adorable glimpses of their adorable newborn with pictures posted on Instagram. Now the 31-year-old is opening up about her experiences with a newborn, and gave in detail of how she consumed her placenta.

It’s been 10 days since Duff gave birth to her daughter, she recently made an appearance on the Informed Pregnancy podcast, where she admitted to consuming her placenta in a smoothie.

“It was the most delightful smoothie I’ve ever had. I haven’t had a smoothie that delightful since I was 10. It was calorie-filled with juice and fruit and everything delicious.” Hilary, who had a drug-free natural birth, couldn’t take her entire placenta in just one smoothie so to avoid taking pills, she has been drinking the rest of it in the form of ice cubes.
