Posted by

17-year-old Kerion Washington went in for an interview at Six Flags Over Texas back in March, where they told the teen that he would have to cut his dreadlocks in order to get the job. The incident made headlines, and a modeling agency noticed his potential in modeling.

Corrie Caster, The head of development at IMG Models and the scout for IMG Worldwide, contacted a model management group in Texas to get Washington started. The opportunity led the teen to sign with Leslie and Briley Jones of Jones Model Management.

Leslie told Yahoo News, “He is so well spoken and sweet and funny, and a smart kid. He ended up really loving it, and honestly, he’s a complete natural.”

Washington is expected to go far in the industry.
