“Teen Mom OG’s” Tyler Baltierra Is Preparing For “a ton of backlash from viewers”

Tyler Baltierra is prepared for fans to criticize him for the upcoming season of Teen Mom OG, but he wants to remind them that he is just human.“I know I will most likely get a ton of backlash from viewers this season & that’s okay, honestly….,” the MTV star tweeted out to fans on October 1st, the day of the series mid-season premiere.

“it will NEVER hold me back from being 100% real & honest! Loving someone through severe depression/anxiety takes a toll & I’m only one human being that experiences weak moments too,” he continued in his tweet.


Tyler shared the caption along with a clip from the Teen Mom OG, which shows him admitting he is drained and loosing sympathy for his his wife, Catelynn Lowell, who struggles with depression and other mental disorders. In the clip, Tyler is asked by his mother if it’s hard watching his wife be in a depressed state, to which he replies, “no it’s repulsing.” Going on to admit there is something wrong with him.

Tyler and Catelynn went thru a heartbreaking miscarriage, which was revealed on an episode of Teen Mom OG back in February. Tyler, who was diagnosed by doctors to have Bipolar Disorder, says in the video that he is losing his capacity for empathy and sympathy toward Catelynn. Lowell and Baltierra have both gotten help for their mental disorders. Catelynn has gone into rehab centers multiple times.

The new season 7 Teen Mom OG premiered Monday, October, 1st and follows the lives of Catelynn Baltierra, Amber Portwood and Maci Bookout as well as the newest castmates Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd.
