Tennessee Man Arrested For Attempting To Sell Stolen BMW On Craigslist

 Tennessee man, Marqueze Blackwell was arrested for attempting to sell a stolen BMW for $87,500 on the listing site, Craigslist.

A Tennessee Highway Patrol sergeant noticed an ad for a 2016 BMW i8 on Craigslist, and had deputies help him to set Blackwell up, WHBQ reports.

The Highway patrol went undercover to meet up with Blackwell as an interested buyer of the stolen car.

Upon walking up to the car, the sergeant noticed the VIN on the driver’s side dash was a sticker over the original number. When running the original VIN they found the BMW to be stolen out of Florida.

Blackwell was charged with altering a motor vehicle serial number and theft of property.
