BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A theater official says Rock & Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Gene Cornish of The Rascals collapsed on stage while performing in Montana.

The Billings Gazette reports the 74-year-old Cornish was taken to a hospital Friday. There was no immediate word on his condition.

Cornish’s publicist, Melissa Kucirek, said Saturday she didn’t yet have an update.

Jody Grant, programming and marketing director for the Alberta Bair Theater in Billings, says Cornish and Rascals organist Felix Cavaliere had completed the first song of a concert and Cavaliere began the second when Cornish collapsed.

Medical personnel treated Cornish on stage before he was taken to a hospital.

The Rascals’ 1960s hits included “Good Lovin,‘” “Groovin’” and “A Beautiful Morning.”

They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
