The parents of Nicolas F. Immesberger, who was killed in a drunken car crash last year, are suing Tiger Woods, blaming the professional golfer and his girlfriend for the death of their son.
Acccording to reports, the lawsuit filed Monday claims Woods was the cause behind the death of Immesberger, who worked at Woods restaurant in Florida “The Woods” as a bartender. The parents say that their son was fed alcohol after work hours and allowed to drive home afterwards, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The mans parents went on to say that the golfers girlfriend and the restaurant manager, Erica Herman, hired Immesberger to be a bartender despite being aware of him being an alcoholic.
Immesberger died on December 10 after losing control of his car on a highway. His blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
His parents said in the suit that “the employees, management and owners of The Woods over-served a young man they knew was suffering with the disease of alcoholism,” according to CBS.
Neither Woods nor his girlfriend were at the restaurant the night of the accident, the LA Times reports.
