It has been confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child together. It’s too early to know if the child will be a boy or girl, but we can try and break down the title that the unborn baby will have.
According to Good Morning reporter Victoria Murphy, the baby will not be a prince or princess or have an HRH title. If the baby is a boy, he will most likely be known by the title Earl of Dumbarton, which is the secondary Sussex title. Any other babies born after the first born son will be a lady or a lord; a daughter would be Lady [First Name] Windsor and a son would be Lord [First Name] Windsor.
However, Queen Elizabeth II could offer a royal title to Meghan and Harry’s child, which will be up to Harry and Meghan to decide if that’s a title they want for their children. It is even possible for the Queen to give the Duchess and the Prince Harry’s children the same title as their cousins, Prince George of Cambridge, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge and Prince Louis of Cambridge.
Harry and Meghan’s baby is expected to be born in Spring 2019, and as the world is overwhelmed with excitement, Meghan and Harry is enjoying their first royal tour as a married couple. The pair is currently in Sydney Australia.
